TRANSMISSION Übersetzungen GmbH are looking to recruit student interns to work as in-house German to English translators (STARTING SALARY: €24,000 p.a).
Coming to talk this week about the opportunities available is guest speaker, Catherine Rushton, who will also be giving practical tips, including:
- How to gain employment as a translator.
- How to use CAT tools to deal with a variety of projects, examples of workflows, use of any automation (in the steps of the process or the use of Machine translation, or similar).
- What skills and competences employers look for when employing a trainee or a junior translator/project manager.
- How the industry is changing and which sectors/specialisms will be growing in the near future.
