German Year Abroad: Intern in Commercial Operations

Boehringer Ingelheim Pharma GmbH & co. KG is a German pharmaceutical company offering a year long placement in the Human Pharma Germany Operations (supporting Marketing and Sales) in Ingelheim, Germany.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work in a variety of teams such as:

• Event Management
• Training and Development
• Data Science
• Market Research

We have a student currently on placement there, who has said the following so far about her experience:

I am currently working as an intern at Boehringer Ingelheim for the academic years 2019/20. I am finding it a rewarding and challenging experience. The working atmosphere is incredibly friendly and inclusive. Most of all it is a great company to practice and improve your German as your meetings and all communication with colleagues will be in German. This is challenging at first, but definitely gives you a chance to improve your language skills!

I have been able to work as part of a cross functional team on implementing a big project affecting employees of the company in all of Germany. At Boehringer Ingelheim there is the opportunity to gain experience in different business areas giving you the opportunity to gain many different transferrable skills. I would without a doubt recommend this placement.
