The Centre Caribéen de Langues are currently offering two internships as an English teacher for 2019-20.

Based on the island of Guadeloupe in the French Caribbean, you will be working in a small language school teaching English to children (from 4 years old upwards) and adults. As the only native English speaker at the school, you will:

  • Assess the English level of any new students.
  • Be in charge of preparing and giving the English lessons on a one-to-one basis or in small groups.
  • Have excellent opportunities to improve your French both in speaking with the other teachers and profiting from the school’s resources.

Your role as an intern will also include welcoming the new students at the school and helping the other teachers with administrative tasks.

Working hours from 8am to 1pm, with the occasional hour lesson during the afternoons (25 hrs/wk).

Duration:

There are two placements available: one from September 2019 until the end of January 2020 and one from February 2020 until the end of July 2020.

Additional information:

The languages school has been running for eight years, and has hosted many students from the UK during this time.

The school is located in the small coastal town of Sainte Anne and is within walking distance of the town centre and the beautiful beaches.

Please note: This internship is unpaid, so please only apply if you are happy to be responsible for managing your own finances whilst on placement there.
